Cross Sell Module installation problem

Hello and Happy new year:

I installed the Cross sell module yesterday. He works great in the admin area, the database is set-up well too, but for a strange reason, it does not appear on the product page. I check the code of the page, and it looks like the coding is stopping just before the tpl_modules_xsell_products.php file is called.
I checked to make sure that all the files were installed, and it seems OK there too.

If anybody had the same problem, or has an idea where I could look for a solution, that will be great...

I have the 1.38 version of Zen cart.

OK:

I checked and checked, and discovered that I have a problem with my custom folder.
I tried to save the tpl_product_info_display.php in my custom folder, but it had no effect on the product page, which acted like the it continued to load the tpl_product_info_display.php directly from the template_default.
So I copy the tpl_modules_xsell_products.php into the template_default/template, and this time the cross sell module showed up.

What can I do to have the module work from a custom folder?

I read different thread, and it looks like numerous people had the same problem...

It appears to be some type of incompatibility with 1.38. It didn't work for me either on a test server (and I have installed this mod several times).

I dont have 1.3.8 to test, but this should be an easy fix. Someone has 1.3.8 testsite online and want to give me login info to come in and check the error? ^^. I'm just lazy.

What are you guys talking about? My site is running 1.3.8a and XSell is working just fine. Probably you overwrote some code in the display template, you will need to check the installation note of XSell again and check the files to see if the code needed is there.
