Unable to login to admin

I installed a clean version to my server to check the new version over before upgrading my main site, however on installation i'm unable to login to the admin and the login pages on the main site didn't work they just keep going back to the main login page and no log off appears in the header.
I've installed a couple of times to make sure i had my username right ect, i've been reading the forum and i read about winmerge which i use anyway, but i was doing a clean install and thought there would be no need for it surely?

I can't for the life of me figure out whats going on, i installed it locally on my PC using easyphp and i can login to the admin area there. i've upgraded before and never had any problems, am i being thick???

i have fixed it, it was a php session thang i fixed my problem thanks to this thread http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...8&postcount=29 which i dug up this morning !!

Can you help me get to the login page for the back office of my zen cart site please. I normally go through my browser but it is not recognising it. I had intenet access problems yesterday and perhays the browser history has been wiped off, please help!!!

I never could get the changes to work in the sessions file.

I finally accessed the config file, removed the DB so sessions are now:
define('STORE_SESSIONS', '');
