    Default database fields

is there any way to get a list of fields and descriptions of the data that is used in zen cart. for example, customer_id : used for blah blah blah and so on.

I would like to also know if I ad a new custom attribute script on my order page, how would I link it to the order, so it shows up on the checkout and orders pages like the standard attributes do.

If you go to host site and you open xampp you can view all the tables within the db (database).

PS that assuming you're using xampp, if not you still should be able to log into your db

You can check the wiki if there's a list like that, but I doubt it. It would be very time consuming to do something like that.

Good call - I'd found this once before a while ago, but then I lost it. I have been looking for it for several days now, but I hadn't tried the Wiki.

You're right, it is very time consuming, but a data dictionary is pretty standard in the industry. Zen Cart I've found. is good at matching standards in code and practices.
