add attributes for a whole category all at once?

K... I've been inputing sizes (s,m,l) into attributes for each individual item. My question is... Is it possible to take a whole category, setup the attribute(s), then apply it to all items in the category?

Yes and no, in my experience.

No, you can't add to all of them at the same time. HOWEVER - you can copy the attributes of 1 item TO an entire category at once. Pretty slick.

I knew that was coming.

Go to Catalog->attributes controller. Then pick the category that has a properly attributed product. Choose that product to display. Then use the COPY TO (category) button at the top of the page.

Ok... I just tried it. BOY DID IT WORK GREAT! I just wish I had known about this sooner. When I think about all the time I spent putting things in one at a time... All that work for nothing!
