    Default problem with database upgrade

When I try and upgrade fro 1.3.0.1 to 1.3.8a I get the following message

    in:
    [select admin_id, admin_name, admin_pass from admin where admin_name = 'billt']

    Ant suggestion?

    Thanks,
    Bill

The directions say to use the user name and password from the admin login, which is what I'm doing. I did try the database user name and password but that did not work either.

What I meant is that when you installed this new shop instance you provided an admin user and pass.

When you imported the DB from the live shop the above was overritten....

So you need to use the user and pass that you use for the live shop

    EDIT: You did not import...

When you are doing your upgrade steps, do each suggested version one-step-at-a-time, manually unchecking the extra steps before proceeding.

If uncertain about a step, click the ReCheck button at the bottom to get a refresh of the screen.

    Hi,
I installed a new shop, v1.3.8a, checked it was working ok (login etc) then followed the instructions for backing up & restoring a database, here:https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=103
I followed them step by step because I've been trying to get this to work for nearly 24hrs!.
The database I was importing is a v1.3.0.2 so I followed the database upgrades single steps at a time.
All finished so I set the config permissions, change the zc_install name & click go to admin.
I try to log in & the screen just goes on a loop, no error messages just back to the screen.
    My server has both php4 & 5 running, phpMyAdmin - 2.11.1 & MySQL client version: 4.1.22.
I've tried to find an answer that fits my problem on the forum etc, but this problem is usually for earlier versions of Zen Cart & not for v1.3.8a.
Really don't know what to do next.
    Can anyone help please?
This is all on a practise site, & I'm VERY relieved about that!
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
