    Default Login script not working

I have been able to login to my site for two weeks and yesterday I tried to login and got a 500 login server error from my hosting site. This is what is in the body of f browser-

The control panel error log shows nothing,is there a error log in some where in the Cart itself? The Zen Cart installed right and I removed the zc_install file and made the two files that need to be set to read only. The files that I made read only were includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php. Do I have to uninstall and reinstall the Cart and lose all my products that I have listed.

A "500" error is generally a result of your server rejecting the data you submitted to it, or some sort of related security breach, or somehow asking it to do something it's configured not to do.

The server's errorlog *should* contain the details of such a situation.

    1. I'd suggest talking to your hosting company, esp since you said "it used to work", but then stopped. (I assume you've not been changing any PHP files on your server in the meantime.)
Hopefully they will be able to tell you what changes *they* have made to the server that could cause it. They should also be able to see parts of the server errorlog that you cannot see.

    2. You could try seeing if it's a PHP error by following step 2(a) from the following FAQ, substituting the /admin/includes/extra_datafiles folder instead of just the /includes/extra_datafiles folder:

I just had this problem myself. I have not TOUCHED admin at all for 2 weeks, now all of the sudden I'm getting this error. Yet PHP works on my server, since the front end of the store is functional and fully operational. What could be the cause of this?

Ok, I found out that the error was on the part of my hosting company. (entryhost). why PHP would work on one part of the site and not another is a mystery to me. But they fixed it.
