Having trouble getting my custom template working

I am using V1.3.8

I am sure I am just missing something small but I have been literally working on this for 2days and cannot get my template to show up in Admin-->tools-->Template selection. The only one I see says "Classic Contemporary Green"

I followed every step (at least 5 times) in the article titled "How do I create a new custom Template?"

Anyhow...as stated in the first paragraph I still cannot get my Template to show up in the drop down menu. My file structure matches the one in the article exactly except I use my own "gmcustom" name.

Any suggestions?

Do you have a includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php file?

I didn't I had that file in another folder I misread the map I thought it was saying to put that file in another template folder within the custom template folder---not to just put it in the custom folder!


thank you so much! now I can really get started! Seriously, I am so excited now I can sleep tonight and be ready for my drag race in the morning...this stupid little issue has been driving me crazy!
