Loaded the version from the link you sent. Still nothing showing under orders. Any ideas. I proved ipn-handler from the exclude list.

Thanks to the help of Yellow I have figured it out my problem with PayPal IPN. I hope this helps others. I installed the IPN module well over a year ago there is a patch release for any one using zencart version 1.3.7and before. This can be down loaded here:

Its easy to tell if you need this patch. If you do not have a field for Payment Data Transfer Identity Token in the paypal ipn module you will need to do this upgrade. The field to enter this is is located at modules>payment, click on paypal ipn then edit. If its not there that is your problem.

You will also have to enable Payment Data Transfer in your PayPal account. When you do this you will receive your token.

That is good info. A while ago (and a couple of Simple Seo version back) I had similar IPN problems as described here. I do not need the Payment Data Transfer patch because I can see the "Payment Data Transfer Identity Token" field in Paypal module. However, that field is blank.

Are you saying that in order to use Simple SEO URL, I have to use PDT Token? Because shop is working fine without PDT token now (albeit without the Simple Seo). Or should I give the lastest version of Simple SEO a try again due to some changes in the Seo module?

I would say: Test it on a test site first.

You may want to just remove the paypal module, then reinstall and see if that helps.

I'm not sure about this special case. Usually what happens is: paypal would ping back all the info to ipn_handler, which in turn will update the order i think.

How did it work in the past? Did it work well in the past (before installing seo)? If so then it's supposed to work the same way now, otherwise please let me know.

Yellow I had a friend of mine make a purchase and the information did not get to me in admin or email of what he bought. I didn't even get a email from paypal but the money was there. I un-installed simple seo and had my friend try it again and strange as it may seem everything worked out ok. info showed up of what he bought and a email for what he bought. I don't know what to think. Thank you for your help.

Are we talking about using 1 paypal for multiple sites, or just one?

Anyway, the steps that worked for me and garyclemens:

Remove paypal ipn (uninstall)
Update the patch if needed.
Reinstall, set pdt token as instructed by garyclemens above
Also turn on ipn and auto-return in paypal

I have another site that I do not use Simple SEO or Payment Data Transfer, and Paypal IPN works fine. You need to check your PayPal settings. It is strange that you didn't receive an email from Paypal. Even though I had problems with IPN using Simple SEO, I still received payment notification from PayPal. After installing the IPN patch and enabling Payment Data Transfer in my PayPal account it worked fine.

Dont forget to remove and reinstall it, that actually did the trick most of the time when you have a problem with a payment module (either with seo module or not), at least for me ^_^
