Template Question

Hi
We have a rather dated website running in version 1.2.6 and we now want to update it.
Rather than update our present site we have decided to start afresh with a new site on 1.3.8 but the template we like is for 1.3.6 only.
Can anyone tell me if this is likely to work on 1.3.8 and what if any problems there is likely to be with it.

There were quite a few changes to template files in the newest version. You can get that list from your unzipped copy of 1.3.8 in the docs folder/changelog, compare
and merge the changes with the files in the template you have in mind. Do you
know if the template you want is based on Classic or template_default?

The easiest way to find out is to give it a try - something you've got to do anyway as part of your redevelopment.

Also, find the support thread for the template and have a browse through it to learn about any problems others may have had. With a bit of luck you may even find that someone implemented your template with no problems at all!

Also look at your upgrade / migration path for your data.
