Adding actual color to color attribute box

Hi I have looked through search for a while now, but can't seem to find what I am looking for.

How do I add an actual color swatch (real color) to the color attribute box?

ok I am gonna stick with the additional images (attribute image) only thing is I would like the text to go beside the image instead of under it...
any idea's?

well I have decided to go with that now (I originally wanted the color actually in the drop down box), but I need to get the text next to the color, not below it.

sorry but I still couldn't work it out, and couldn't find another thread to help, I just want the writing to be placed on the RIGHT of the color swatch, not below.
anyone?
