Multiple Orders in Paypal!!

I recently noticed that there are multiple orders from the same customer but on ZC, it only shows 1 order. Another words a customer is being charged for 3 identical orders. This did not just happened to 1 customer, I have atleast 50 customer with the same incident but some of them are charged 2 times, some 3 and some 4 times. But again, in ZC, it only shows 1 per customer.

This can lead to no good real fast...I suggest everyone to look at their Paypal account to see if you see similar incident.

Same thing happended to me. I receive an error message to my email.
I think the customers gets an error during checkout, but is actually charged the amount.

Unknowingly, he place the order again and again.

I got a hunch that all this is Paypal's problem not being able to sent the successful transmition back to ZC.

I actually called one of the reps at Paypal and they couldn't help me. They just said they don't know what this would happen....

Tonight I had a customer place an order and pay through PayPal. PayPal payment arrives okay with reference to zen id. However, no order is on record on zen site. I happened to be on the site and actually checked Who's online and captured the order information but still no "completed" order and the merchandise is still in the store. I now have to adjust stock levels on 100 items and figure out what happened. Any ideas how this happens?

Absolutely,

It was just a case of me going through GoDaddy and not having the cURL proxy status correct. It was a simple fix to set proxy status to true and enter the proxy address as described in this post: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61528

I have since moved off GoDaddy due to poor performance and customer service. My two cents.

I have this same issue with a client and our host does not have any proxies enabled or allowed on their servers. (hostmonster(com))

Does anyone have any ideas other than proxies?
