Adding images and links in newsletter

I am having a problem - and I have searched the forum with no luck - so I thought I should post here.

When I send out newsletter - containing images and active links - it looks fine in the preview, but when it is sent it ends up like a plain text mail with no links at all and no images.

Where do I change the settings so I can send out newsletters with both images and clickable links?

Everyone can not receive formatted mail...You might re-think this -

Look at your mail settings for "mime"

Yes I am aware of that - but right now - nobody is getting links or images.

ADMIN >>> CONFIGURATION >>> EMAIL OPTIONS... (third item down says "Use MIME html when sending emails").

Set to "TRUE"

Oh... a bit more...

1. If you create HTML emails, consider what Kobra says. Many people either cannot decipher, or DO NOT want html emails. When you create your newsletter, you MUST create a simplified txt version in the appropriate input window as well.

2. In some countries, it is illegal to "over-ride" a person's individual choice of whether they want plain txt or html messages.

3. Many companies do not allow incoming e-mails to be in html format, so if your customers use computers at their office, chances are they won't be able to receive your html emails.

The MIME was set to true all the time, but it is still not working. And I do recieve images and HTML mails from the cart confirmation - it is just the newsletter that is this way.

If you are sending the newsletter to yourself (perhaps under a "test" account holder) then did you select "html e-mails" when you initially signed up as that "test customer"?

Login as that "test account holder" then go to "My Account" and check the preferences you selected for emails.

I am having trouble formating my newsletter e-mail and i can't figure out what is causing it. I wrote the code in MS Front page for my newsletter marketing specials, then i copy and paste the code from front page into a new newletter, then i make any correction to the code in the HTML editor and it would look just the way i want it. (photo 1) But then when i go to view it or send a test to myself it's all separated and messed up (photo headsep - headsep3) any ideas what could be causing it to separate?

I hope this is the right place for this, i seen some many posting regard to newsletters.

When you copy the code from FP, are you copying ALL the html - or just the bits between the <body> </body> tags?

If you copy the FP headers, you will confuse zencart, as it strips in its own headers.

When you create code on an external HTML editor, you must AVOID copying anything from the headers and footers - copy only bits of code that reside BETWEEN the <body> </body> tags.

it's only the stuff between the body here is the code maybe i missed a tag or something:
