Hi! I'd like to have my wholesalers be able to view my retail prices at 50%. How do I do this?

You can set up group pricing...
Admin -> Customers -> Group Pricing
Make a group name of Wholesaler and set it to 50% discount.
Assuming they have an account already, edit the account, and change the group under "Options"
The discount will be taken off when they complete the order. They will see the regular price in the store.
I believe there is a contrib for this also... you can look in the downloads section.

Dual Pricing-Wholesale Pricing mod from above url
Can someone install this for me? The reason I ask is that I'm terrified I will overwrite my entire zencart that I have currently and don't know how to back up what I currently have stored.
I'd be more than willing to send my username and password through private message.
Sorry I'm ranting. I have the flu. v_v
Love,

Dual Pricing is a very advanced mod that you should not be installing if you haven't gotten to the point of knowing how to back up your store. It modifies a number of core files and is haphazardly supported. Use the native group pricing mechanism and tell wholesalers they'll see their discounts at checkout time.

I don't understand what you mean by this. A few wholesalers want to look at my products. What do you mean by edit the account?Assuming they have an account already, edit the account, and change the group under "Options"

Have they created an account on your store yet?
Admin --> Customers --> Customers
This will bring up a list of people who have accounts on your site.
Click on their name, and then the edit button on the right hand side. This will allow you to edit their information.
Near the bottom of the page, you will see "Discount Pricing Group" Change that to whatever you made in the "Group Pricing" seciton... hit "Update" and your done!

Indi... no need to worry about changing settings in your Admin Panel. These are (in general) simply a case of "toggling" between something being "on" of "off" and you are generally given the options of setting something to "1" or "0"... "true" or "false", of clicking a Radio Button to activate it.
Other settings will require that you set up a "group", and others may require that you alter bits of text, or numerical values.
In all cases - when you are learning - simply write down the setting BEFORE you change it, go to your webshop to see what effect that change has, and if you don't like what you see, either revert to the ORIGINAL setting (you've written it down) or tweak it some more to get the effect you want.
Follow the advice above for group pricing, remembering to write down what you do, so that you can revert if necessary.

I really like the mod - that is exactly what I want.
Why is it so risky to install? What has happened in the past with other Zenners?

What has happened in the past with other Zenners? >> A few re installs :-(
I am going to try Group Pricing to see if I can set up two different prices rather the discounts.
Has anyone done with two different prices wholesale/retail using group pricing? Love hear how?
Cheers
