Default error using "Back Up My Site PHP Files" mod

    Hello,

I have installed the latest version of the Back Up My Site PHP Files Mod, however when I go to use it in the admin area, I get this error:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster AT domain DOT com DOT au and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Has anyone experienced this before?

    I am using zen 1.38

    Kind regards,

    Anthony

I got this when I set the specified file to 777, but when I changed it to 755, the error seemed to be fixed. Now, I can't seem to get the module working, but am doing more searching to figure out why!

Where does this backup get saved? I have installed this mod on my test site but when I click on Backup I don't get anything. I figure there most be a file missing or something?

Anyway, I have removed it for now but I hope there is another user that has gotten it to work and can give me some pointers.

    Thanks

You need to check the SERVER error log to see the details of the error.
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

    Hello yellow,

    thanks for the reply.

How would I check the server error logs, and what would I be looking for?

    Kind regards,
    Anthony

I am trying to get this to work as well...

When I chmod the php file to 755 I simply get a blank page saying "Error" at the top. It doesn't seem to matter what you chmod it to and it doesn't seem to matter if you upload as ASCII or binary either.

Is there some other convenient way of securely backing up the php files of your site?

I actually installed this without a hitch on my site but now I'm trying to get it to work on my daughters site and I'm getting the error on a blank page. Weird since we are using the same host and basically the same set up for ZC.

Here is what I found out about the Error page:

It is actually backing up the site into a TAR file..at least on my daughters site it is. It is simply not downloading it. Which I can live with as long as it saves it.

Also getting the "Error" message with no other details. The .tar file is only a partial backup of the site.

Running on an offline site using Windows XP, zen 1.3.8, Apache 1.3.33 (Win32), PHP 4.3.10, backup_mysite_V1.e
