    Default Refund Transaction

If I have a transaction occurred today which has amount in X AUD and exchange rate from PayPal from AUD to USD for today is Y1 and PayPal fees is F AUD, my final amount in USD (My default currency) would be (X-F)*Y1 what if I refund the amount 2 months later and at that time exchange rate is Y2, would I loss (or gain) the conversion difference? or paypal will refund the full amount with Y1 and I will have 0 Balance? Any help is greatly appreciated. In IPN response, it looks like PayPal is reversing everything back with balance in USD being 0; but it does not show amount in AUD correctly (slightly higher). PayPal account shows some confusing amounts.

Thanks for the help in advance.

PayPal will refund in the currency used by PayPal to handle the transaction, on the PayPal end. PayPal doesn't pay any attention to what currency was used in your shopping cart. They only use the currency *they* used to process it.

Thanks Dr. Byte, does this mean my account will have zero balance regardless of currency conversion rate and fees if I revert it totally?

    Sorry, I can't guarantee that.
