    Default Innodb mysql

Can anyone tell me if there are any perfomance gains or any pitfalls that would be associated with a conversion from my current zen cart mysql database to a innodb database?

    Thanks

My guess is that there wouldn't be any performance gain. Also, since Zen isn't presently set up to use transactions, rollback, etc, there is really no reason (at least that I can see) to make the change. You'd be adding complexity with no clear benefit. If you make the change, you will need to be very careful when upgrading your cart or installing modules. I would imagine the change would break most of the CREATE TABLE / ALTER TABLE SQL statements out there.

What are you trying to accomplish?

I seem to be having some issues with my current database and my sys admin suggested I convert. I see that in zen 1.4 that innoDB will be utilized so I am wondering if converting early will hurt.
