move search and newsletter box contents to footer

Hello,
I have an installation of the newest version of Zen Cart. I would like to remove the search and newsletter subscribe side boxes, and move the forms to the footer of the site. I know how to disable the boxes easy enough, but I have no idea which files to edit to move the two forms to the footer.

For the newsletter form, I tried copying the contents of tpl_subscribe.php to tpl_footer.php, but it didn't display anything.

Can anyone tell me what to edit to move those two forms to the footer please?

Can no one help me with this? Surely it's not that difficult; I just don't know where to start and what files to edit...

I just moved my search form to the footer... what I did was turn on the sidebox search, view source and copy the code and paste into my tpl_footer.php file where I wanted it. Worked like a charm.

I would think you could do that for the newsletter form as well.

I didn't even think of just viewing the source and copying. I'll give that a try; thanks a bunch.
