The feature product listing in index page doesn't show correctly

I have a strage problem regarding the display content of featured product list in index page, only some of description contect showed there.

I would like the descrption in feature paroduct could be shown like this,

Anybody can help? I have been searching the relevant thread, but it looks the answer is not available. Which is pretty frustrating..
