Discount postage - please help

Hi guys, this forum is wonderful and have already found solutions to many problems I have had :)

I am really stuck though with postage and cant figure out how to charge a flat postage fee of £3.00 and then £1.50 per item thereafter. Can anybody point me in the right direction.

Under Admin - Modules - Shipping, select Per Item shipping, set the handling fee as 1.50 and the per item fee as 1.50. The handling fee will be applied to the first item (I think) which will make the first item 3.00.
