Gallery Integration with Zencart

All you have to do is use the internal link bit and link to your ez pages page

i guess i am not understanding, my gallery is not in my template anywhere and not funcitoning properly

i cannot make folders that appear or uplaod images even though they are on my server

ok look, I know you dont know me from anyone, but if it is going to help, email me the admin access toyour shop, where you want the gallery, and if at all possible ftp access and I will install the gallery for you.

Shouldnt take too long to do, unless your host is the issue

yeah that woudl be great. I have never had trouble with addons before so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Ideally I would like to have this also with the new gallery upload option.

Do you recommend this version?

Would you mind posting excactly how you set this up when you do it, I think it would help everyone. There is something people aren't seeing from the instructions. I don't mind throwing a little paypal money your way.

I am about to send you access to my test site. Then I can try on the live site later.

Not a problem, and you dont need to pay me anything either.

I will look at the instructions again for you and if they need updating I will do it and upload a new version of them to go with the addon.

I have now updated the instructions and included the new uploader function into a new version. This has been uploaded to the zencart site, but not yet checked and confirmed, however when it is, it wil be version 1.4.6

I may make some further mods to it, any suggestions?

and this may be the case already but

1) it should have the option to only be accessible through zencart

in other words if your page in gallery then going to www.yoursite.com/gallery/ would take tyou to the zencart templated version. again this may already be the case

2) be able to delete

3) captions

4) pick a default image for folders

I will look at your requests and see what I can do on them.

Also, anyone using this mod, please do not go ranting and raving about lack of support on the website of the guy that created the actual gallery code, someone posted on their a whine about the uploading tool, which had nothing to do with the actual gallery in the first place, but was an addition added by me.

Not even sure how it works at present, possibly alphabetical order, so first in alphabet displays as thumbnail image, testing should be able to confirm this, and that would be the simplest solution rather than trying to code it into the package.
