We are having a similar problem with this ALERT: PayPal Express Checkout Error () - 7

I'm reading this thread while waiting to speak to the UK Paypal integration team - currently been in the queue for 1 hour and 15 minutes (Was the same yesterday)

We use a custom VAT module that allows the customer to swap between VAT and non VAT prices showing on the site. We also use shipping tables to calculate rates for highlands, channel islands and European countries. We also have another VAT module that allows EC companies with a valid VAT number to have VAT removed at checkout.

I'm guessing its something to do with that lot but don't know where to start to be honest.

Sorry to hear that you're having a problem, but glad that i'm not the only one!

It sounds like your situation is similar to mine. Does PayPal IPN work OK for you?

Paypal IPN works fine, its just the express link from the login page. Paypal asked me to leave it turned on so that they could test it at their end yesterday but I haven't heard anything yet and its almost impossible to get them on the phone on the integration line.

You can log this problem at www.paypal.com/mts on a proper support ticket and they look at them within 1 business day. - see the contact support tab.

I have already, but it might help if you do as well so they know its not an isolated incident.

Sorry, I forgot to add that Im based in the UK and ideally I should be showing the amount of tax that is charged on all invoices (17.5%).

PayPal Express will not work properly for me when I select 'taxable goods' in my listings.

Also, my items are for some reason now displayed on the site without tax. In google checkout, the correct amount of tax is added. But in PayPal express the tax is not added and I end up undercharging.

My error is displaying [AMT] on the line below, [HANDLINGAMT]

PayPal can change the line, but I cannot find the code.
Using ZenCart 1.3.7.1

No shipping module with any sort of handling fees are installed. That's why I think this is a code error writing correct info to wrong line.

Update: After generating this error with Express Checkout, if a customer tries to checkout with Paypal, no shipping address is recorded and the tax is removed.

I would really appreciate some help with this problem.

I think you'll find the solution to this problem on this thread. I spent some time going through it with Fergus and I think we solved it.
