Adding more columns to the product listing page

Hello guys,

I have biotech products which needs to be listed in a table format as such on the product listing page.
Essentially, product name is just like before, Solution and Concentrated are read-only fields for each product, and datasheet is a downloadable PDF.

Product Name | Solution | Concentrated | Data Sheet
Antibody A | 6 ml | 1 ml | download
Antibody B | 8 ml | 2 ml | download
Antibody C | 6 ml | 3 ml | download

Is this possible? Can anyone give me some idea on how this could get started?

If I understand what you seek then in the product description entry area you will create/insert a table for this data

actually, not exactly, because the product description is 1 description per product

what I need is to have the product listing page, to be in a table format....

so this wouldn't be something for each product, but more a table under a category...

You are in luck - the default product listing for a category already exists in table format with these as headers:

Product Image
Item Name
Price

yes, but how do you add more headers?
I need to add 3 more headers beside the default ones!

As this is created through an array - Roll up your sleves as this will start with the tpl file for the product listing back into the module that gets the DB info for the array and back to the Database where you will need to adjust to store your new data.

Open the files and follow the logic back through the other files called

You can start with the includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_modules_product_listing.php
and check each include and require for other files
