How to NOT display sub sub category images?

Ok, so I know how to turn off the sub category images off by adding this to the stylesheet: #categoryImgListing {display:none;}

So that way i see my nice icon on the main cat page, but it doesn't carry over to the top of the sub category. Great.

Now my problem is when I have a sub category beneath a sub category, the image is carrying over and being placed at the top of the page. I can't figure anyway to remove it!

You'll see the darn image is up there! Anyone have an idea how to hide it but keep that image on the previous screen?

Rather than jumping neck-deep in the CSS, how about adjusting the category and sub-category sizes in the admin >> Configurations >> Images menu?

I would personally just comment out the category Icon function in the tpl_modules_category_icon_display.php or whichever you are trying to stop the display

admin > configuration > Image Required > false

You can do this via the admin. This seems to work for me..

Admin > Configuration > Product Listing

Change the following two values as displayed below:

Include Product Listing Sub Categories Image - false
Include Product Listing Top Categories Image - false

[Convergence]

Double check you site in FireFox -

If the sub-cat images still appear - then go to:

Admin > Configuration > Images and REMOVE any value from:

Subcategory Image Width
Subcategory Image Height
Top Subcategory Image Width
Top Subcategory Image Height

Forgot that there is one more place in the admin that you need to edit to hide the category images.. My previous post shows how to remove the category images from all the product listings. However category images will still appear on the product information pages. This last admin setting will remove category images from the product information pages.

Admin> Configuration> Product Info

Change the value as displayed below (this is the 3rd option):
Previous Next - Navigation Includes Category Name and Image Status = 1

Once you make both of these changes, the category images will no longer appear on the product listing pages or on the product information pages.. This works regardless as to whether or not you remove your category image size settings..

I was working on one of my client's sites this morning, and I JUST made these same admin changes this morning. Here's the result:
Product information Page:
http://clients.overthehillweb.com/ha...&products_id=2

Category Product Listing Page:
http://clients.overthehillweb.com/ha...=index&cPath=9

Please note that I've made no CSS changes to remove the category icons, nor have I made any other changes to the images settings for the category images.. The two admin changes I posted will effectively hide the category icons from the two places they appear.
