System charged Wrong amount

An order was processed without customers address. The customer was charged $177 but in the invoice showed as $156.
But while checking in the back end, the customer was charged additional $20 as the part of shipping, but the customers address was empty.
How can this happen because without entering the address, the customers cannot proceed to the payment page.
But this one payment was somehow processed with the address.
Any Ideas?

Well ... you haven't given us a lot to go on, other than (from the post title) you're still using zc139h (released on October of 2010) and some type of payment method (unspecified) that takes credit card payments.

A bit more information might help us guide you, but I'm guessing that most of the responses will be of the sort: "You really, really should upgrade your Zen Cart base; a significant number of bugs have been corrected and many enhancements made to the core of zc157d."
