well... as a matter of fact Russian and Bulgarian are really close so no matter wich language u upload...
/includes/languages/russian.php or /includes/bulgarian.php
they both use same encoding (or almost)

Actually i am pretty drunk, but tomorrow i will read what i have posted :) and if u have uploaded files i will check them out...

I have download Notepad ++ and understand that i have to convert files .
Which file must be converted.
Admin/includes/languages/russian.php
Admin/includes/languages/russian/*.php

includes/languages/russian.php
Admin/includes/languages/russian/*.php
And i think al other file into these directories with ext php

The whole /includes/languages/russian directory. Every single file. Made it ANSI as UTF-8, make corrections to query_factory.php
remake your categories (i hope u talking about new shop, otherwise this help is almost useless for you) and it SHOULD be working.

I have converted the includes/language/russian/*.* file by file
then changed the query_factory file .
But then the whole template was corrupted
So now i gonna start alover again.
Just install Zencart on Xampp in the sub dir d:\xampp/htdocs/kwytka
After that i run localhost/kwytka/admin and run the install file.
After that make the two config files cmod etc eand delete the zc instal files
Then to thwe admin section.
So far no problems then i made a new category So this is a clean installed version no language files no nwe template or other modules.
In this case i type the russin font into the name part and save it the go to catalog online and what do i see yes Тюпь instead off Тюльпаны

post here russian.php located in /includes/languages. post is as ZIP, or change its extension, so forum dont mess with it.
if u dont have webhosting... try 000########################, so i can see your shop... u can mail me admin pass for that 000webhosting thing, so i can see what u have done so far..

Problem is, i am alittle busy these days, and i think i am starting to forget install steps si i want to see problematic website so i can test it. If you feel uncomfortable passing such info on forum.. contact me via PM

I have webhosting but on that are the old webpages located, so on the PC at home i am trying to create a shop
So that is on localhost i do not know if you can read the localhost it runs under Xampp.
Is I wrote the problem occurs also under a new installation without any language file at all
