is there a way to use database data to create my descrition?
say im selling 3000 baseball cards and id like to show their stats like
hr, rbi, era etc... i used easy populate 1.2.5.4 to put product in, and I
have all my info on a spreadsheet, i just wondered if there was a quicker
way then to do 1 by 1

My preference for these sort of situations, i.e. additional structured information, is to adapt the database to store it and write new PHP code to extract and display it. But to do this would require database, PHP skills and
some knowledge of Zen Cart's underlying. If you had these to the level required, I guessing that you wouldn't have asked the question.

So you probably need a solution requiring less technical knowledge. Another possible way then would be to take advantage of your spreadsheet and Excel's concatenate function to merge your data into a text string and then append the values to the product description in the file you are using to upload information using Easy Populate.

    thanks

do you know if i do that will the text be searchable?

ie if the player has 200 home runs can somebody search for 200 and will it return any card with a 200 in the description?

The default Zen Cart search is rather crude, but the search about which you're asking would, yes, return the result that you want.
