Idea or Suggestion Redirecting my zenstore to my domain -- how?

    Hello Everyone,

Well I got my install to work great and I've been messing around with the controls figuring things out.

By the way I just bought the "e-start your web store with zen cart" book at lulu so that should clear up alot of things.

    MY QUESTION

How do I redirect my zenstore(hyperhills.com/zencart) to my domain(hyperhills.com)?

    the zencart is located in:

    hyperhills.com/httpdocs/zencart

I'm assuming that's the correct place

    Thanks for your time,

    Anthony

No. Move your files and folders from httpdocs/zencart to just httpdocs

In /httpdocs, you have a folder named /zencart ... right?
And inside that /httpdocs/zencart folder, you have several folders and files that came with Zen Cart, right?

And, you said you wanted people to get to your store by going to your domain URL, instead of your domain URL followed by /zencart ... right?

So, just move all your files "up" a level, from the /httpdocs/zencart folder into the /httpdocs/ folder ... as described in the tutorial I posted earlier (it has some other steps mentioned, which you need to pay attention to as well).

    Anthony,

I just tried the different URLs you've listed and am really confused. When I enter hyperhills.com I get the default page supplied by your hosting company (Apollo Hosting, Inc.). When I enter hyperhills.com/zencart I get redirected back to hyperhills.com. When I enter hyperhills.com/httpdocs/zencart I get a file not found error. It's only when I enter http://hyperhills.com/zencart/index.php that I get to a page that looks like it wants to be your shopping cart.

However, you still have a lot of work to do before you make this your "live" store. I'm looking at the default home page that comes with the Zen Cart installation. You should probably do all the editing necessary to make this page your own before you do anything else.

When you get that done, you can follow the advice given you by Dr. Byte.
Another solution is to replace the default home page with a page you create in HTML that becomes an introductory page to your site/store/business and put a link on that page that points to http://hyperhills.com/zencart/index.php.
