    You need to edit includes/languages/english/create_account.php.

Remember to overide it using your custom template.

search the downloads and faqs for override. You are using the classic template which will be a problem when you upgrade.

Okay, I've been doing this too, and this tutorial doesn't help much... It explains how to create a new template, but I've already made numerous modifications, evidently to the "Classic" template. I create a new template, select it in admin, and *poof* all my modifications are gone!

Is there a way to save a copy of the Classic template, including any mods I've made, AS a new template?

    Thanks

Unfortunately, the classic template and stylesheet is "old school".
If you get a copy of firefox with the firebug add-on, it will help you find the items to change.
A little time spent now will save you hours later.

hmmm, I'm having trouble making this work...

since for now I'm still using the "classic" template, I edited
    includes/languages/english/classic/create_account.php
and uploaded it to my server

Admin>Tools>Email Welcome displays the message as I edited it, but when I add a new customer (myself) I get the original message. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

AND, is there a better way to test it? Entering and deleting myself as a customer repeatedly is a major pain.

    Thanks

Why not make a copy of the classic you've been using, but give it your own name?
