Wholesale group discounts and inventory

Hi,

I will be assigning a group discount to wholesale customers. My problem is that I only carry about 5 of each item at one time. How can I make it so that a wholesale customer could order more than what I have in stock? Preferably without letting regular customers order what isn't in stock....

This will require a good bit of custom coding to differentiate a normal customer from a wholesale customer.
