    Default Check Out not processing Credit Cards (AIM)

    My store works fine until I send out the order. Once the order is sent I get an error "This transaction has been declined - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct the information and try again or contact us for further assistance."

    When I check Authorize.net it shows the order was received and declined as a "general error" I'm not sure why this would be declined. Any ideas why?

    Someone I work with thinks it's because we have zencart in a folder within the root and not the actual root. We need to do this since we want the store attached to our site example: www.sitename.com/zencart. Could this be an issue?

    What version of Zen Cart are you using?
    What addons/contributions are installed?
    What version of PHP/MySQL?
    Have you turned on the debug mode in the Authorize.net module?
    Which Authorize.net module are you using? AIM or SIM?

    No, that should have no impact on processing the transactions, at least if you're using the AIM module.

    According to the authnet docs, that 205 means: "This error code applies only to merchants on FDC Omaha. The value submitted in the merchant number field is invalid."

    So, either your authnet account is misconfigured (which you'll have to fix with the authnet account tech support), or you've entered invalid data for your transaction key etc.

    Did you resolve your issue? I am getting the same 205 error.
    All my settings are correct. (The MD5 Hash kinda threw me initially... thought I needed the code vs. just the phase.)
    Just wondering if it is an Authorize.net account issue.
