shipping cost problematic

Hi!
i have been looking through the forum for hours, but i cannot seem to find the right answer...

here is my problem:
I have to set up different kind of shipping costs for different categories, i.e:
1) cat. A has a fixed shipping price of 20€
2)cat.B has a priced that is defined individually according to country and distance (big units)
3) cat C has a per weight/qty shipping pricing

How can i do that??

And what happens when I come in and buy from all 3 categories?

Do these need to be calculated separately and then add those 3 separate charges together or is there a 4th method to manage that?

This is going to be a customized shipping module ... but you have to get all of your paramaters defined in order to write it correctly ...

i really can't immagine that nobody has had this problem before!
You think it might work with the flat rate clone module created by Dwells ( found it in the downloads section)?

and btw in order to avoid the problematic of the 3 different methods to be in one order, they just have to be warned to please make separate orders

Have you ever tried that? Consumers want quick and easy - don't make me think.
