admin error message - functions_prices.php

one of my clients cannot log into her admin section - the following message is appearing:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected '}' in /xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/products/admin/includes/functions/functions_prices.php on line 34

This has happened right out of the blue, neither of us have made any code changes at all, so l am stumped.

l've looked at the file in question, but l'm not a programmer, and removing the '}' in that line just throws up a heap more error messages

Can anyone advise on what to try next?

we are using either late 1.37 or the first 1.38 - l can't log in to check ;-)

Best to do a compare of all files on the server against your backup on your PC ... to identify differences as well as any 'extras'.
That's the fastest approach to quickly idenifying what may be busting things on you.
