Can't change template

I have tried for 2 days to change the template from the Classic Green to Red Sky. Every time I type in myshop/includes/template I get a message come up saying I don't have access to /myshop/includes/templates on this server. Anyone got any ideas where i am going wrong. Getting frustrated to the max!!!

This is not settable via a web browser navigation as you seem to be attempting

You need to access your admin > tools > template selection > edit

To change to a template that you have installed via FTP'in the template files to your server
