help question Restoring my database on WampServer 2.0

Hello, Im having trouble understanding how to setup Zencart on the new version of Wamp5 called WampServer 2.0. I followed the instructions located here to install and set up a localhost password which everything work fine. I then installed a fresh Zencart on my localhost and that worked as well but my question is how do I get my SQL file I backed up from my origional website into my test websites phpMyAdmin on my PC? I have tried this so far:

    1) Installed Zencart on my localhost using wampserver 2.0
    2) Saved the two config.php files from the fresh set up on my PC somewhere other than my localhost file.
    3) Downloaded my whole Zencart website and replaced the localhost file with that one.
    4) The two config.php files I saved from my fresh install I replaced over top the ones from the website so I get the correct file paths ect.

Now what do I do? How do I get my saved SQL file to replace the one from the fresh install to get this to work or am I going about this wrong?

    Thanks,
    Chad

I've just tried to put a copy of my website www.mercuryrisingbooks.com on my local pc.

I'm using the latest version of Zencart on both, and running WAMP5 on my pc.

Following the tutorials mentioned above I have a new version of Zencart running on my pc.

I have imported my live database into the WAMP and it appears to have worked ok.

I have copies all of my files from the website onto my WAMP, excluding the config files.

BUT I am not getting my websie on the WAMP! It is still showing a blank, newly set up website. Can anybody suggest what to do next?

I didn't use the demo data, so perhaps i need to start again and see what happens to that.

You probably used a different DB_PREFIX value in your configure.php files on your WAMP server than you used on your live server.

Make sure your WAMP configure.php has its DB_PREFIX using the same DB_PREFIX as your live server's configure.php uses. Otherwise it'll be looking at the wrong tables for data.

    Thanks DrByte, that worked.

Only now it won't accept my admin password or email a new one to me.
