USPS API changes announced for May 12, 2008

Please pardon me if this question sounds like something I should just know, sometimes I think I am a big chicken. I am trying to figure out if adding this patch in will mess up our existing postal set up (the webtools, aside from the stuff I need to write down and re-type in the blanks).

And, if not having this patch installed is the reason that I am getting the debug errors (currently I have it set to email them to me).

You need to save the current settings for your USPS shipping module, especially your USPS Web Tools User ID so that you can re-configure the new module when you upload it to your site, REMOVE and INSTALL it ...

Also note if you have Zones or specific parts of USPS setup on the checkboxes ...

If you do not install the Updated USPS shipping module to fix the unannounced changes made by USPS on May 12th ... you will be doomed ...
