    Default Blog Integration Contribution

The Zen Cart Blog Integration Contribution, which allows you to integrate your blog or any RSS feed into your cart, is now available in the download area here:

    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=1029

Detailed help on this module is available on my site:

    http://www.thatsoftwareguy.com/zenca...tegration.html

Zen Cart Blog Integration uses the CaRP utility, developed by Gecko Tribe, LLC. It is distributed with the starter edition of CaRP, with instructions for upgrading to the full edition if more features are desired.

An example of what the contribution looks like when installed in a cart is provided here:

The trouble is, the comment feed is separate from the post feed. Not sure how you could integrate these. But take a look at some of Anthony's documentation - he may have fixed this (there's a link in the README).

I'm really trying to install my blog into my cart, but it seem as if I am getting stuck at process#4

Load carpsetup.php in your web browser. For example, if you uploaded it to "/home/joe/public_html/carpsetup.php" and your website address is http://www.########################/~joe/, load http://www.########################/~joe/carpsetup.php in your web browser.

The CaRP Setup Assistant page unloads, and I put my location where the file is located, but I keep getting: I was unable to find carpsetupinc.php in the directory /home/divabou/public_html/store/carpsetup.php. Please enter the path to the directory containing carpsetupinc.php below.

    NOTES:
    • Depending on your server's configuration, the directory path may look different to me that it does when you log in to your server. The path to this file (carpsetup.php) as I see it is /home/divabou/public_html/store/carpsetup.php. Please take that into account when entering the path above.
    • If you see an error message about a safe mode violation, you may need to move the carp directory into your web directory.
I enter the correct location but I am not taken any further?

Can someone help me with this installment

My problem with step 4 is that when I point my browser in my case to
    http://taogem.com/taogemst_myzencart/carp/carpsetup.php

I am taken to my blog with is my main domain not the zencart_zen (my ZC store), and it is a 404 error page.

I don't know what it means, but the following is what I get when I try to point a IE browser to the above link instead of FF

"Your search - http://taogem.com/taogemst_myzencart/carp/carpsetup.php - did not match any documents".

If anyone is following along and reading the past posts?

I fixed the problem with not being able to get the Wizard to open up.

I am now at step one:

    1. Page 1: defaults (use cache folders, display a feed from GeckoTribe.com)

I have the cache foders and GeckoTribe options checked.

Here is an error I am getting on the following page.

    "Checking for cache directories...Found

An unexpected error occurred while attempting to load carp.php. Please resolve this issue and then load the CaRP setup assistant again".

The page stays open with this error message. Nothing else is there.

    Suggestions?

People are following along, but not on a second by second basis. The software on this forum is maintained by volunteers.

I suggest you place an ad on the commercial help wanted forum for someone to install this for you.

Thanks, but I have it up and running.

    No need to pay someone.

    Thanks for the tip though
