Hello all,

Zen Cart v1.3.8a

A test order in my cart contains 35 items, there are multiples of the same product in different versions (colours). So 2x blue products A's, 2x yellow products A's etc

The sub total is £151.50.
There is a £10.00 Delivery Charge, both are subject to tax (VAT 17.5%).

The calculated VAT is

151.50+10 = 161.50

161.50 x 0.175 = £28.27

it should be £28.26 (rounded from 28.2625)

The odd thing is that by varying the quantities of the items (but keeping the total quantities and values the same), the cart will calculate VAT of either .26 or .27!. Somehow it is finding 0.04p difference!

Any Ideas??

a sample from the cart to illustrate what causes the difference in vat:

Cart A

2 x product A blue £4.95
2 x product A red £4.95
2 x product A yellow £4.95
2 x product A pink £4.95

sub total £39.60 produces one vat figure

Changing the quantities around:

Cart B

8 x product A blue £4.95
1 x product A red £4.95
1 x product A yellow £4.95
1 x product A pink £4.95

sub total £39.60 produces another vat figure

The products are exactly the same except for the colour.

So even thought the sub total always stays exactly the same, zencart can show one of the 2 vat calculations depending on the quantities of the selected products.

Help!

Many Thanks

Guy
