    Default SSL Installation problem - wiped my database

    I have Zencart installed and working but then Created a SSL folder and installed in there too so I can take Goole Checkout and Nochex payments.
    Firstly I have wiped all of my database as I have linked both websites to the same database and done a fresh install on my SSL (So please beware if you are doing the same).
    The problems/questions I have are as follows (Sorry but I have a few).

    I cannot log into admin on the SSL website (Times out and page doesn't load)
    https://vault1.secured-url.com/Candl...re/securesite/

    Once I sort the above out, do I have to change all of the settings to be an exact match to the "Normal website"?

    As I have installed, supertracker MOD, Google Base feeder, Paypal IPN etc do I need to run the SQL patches again to update my database?

    Any help would be appreciated as I am very close to ditching Zencart altogether

    OK I'll start again.
    I have my website www.candlewithcare.co.uk currently running Zencart 1.3.8.
    I am trying to set up SSL for payments with the same hosting company(Fasthosts).
    They have given me a SSL domain called https://vault1.secured-url.com/candlewithcare
    I have created a folder in this called securesite and uploaded an untouched version of Zencart 1.3.8
    When I linked it to my existing database It has wiped that database so I have rebuilt the database again.
    However I cannot get the admin page on the SSL site to load so I can get into it.
    I just get the message "Hello thank you for loading Zencart"
    I dont want to do anything that will wipe my database as I currently cannot back it up....any suggestions?

    SSL FAQ at url above, including shared SSL, which from
    url you have quoted, looks like what Fasthosts have
    issued...
    Not used shared ssl myself, because purchasing own
    SSL Certificates are very reasonably priced these days,
    and save lots of potential errors, as you are now
    experiencing.
    Your host should be able to give advice re their shared
    SSL and how to implement.

    I have read that link previously thanks for the heads up.
    If I'm reading it correctly I need to get the zencart running properly on the shared SSL site too before I enable the SSL support in zencart?
    This is where I'm struggling as I cannot get zencart to run on my SSL site.

    This is where I'm struggling as I cannot get zencart to run on my SSL site.
    Did you alter BOTH zencart config files to reflect using shared SSL,
    as per instructions given in FAQ url quoted?

    I was going to but it says make sure it is fully working first.
    If you don't alter both config files, it will never work correctly.

    OK, I understand what you are saying but the instructions say
    Once you've had your hosting company install your SSL certificate, and you have confirmed that going to "https://your_site.com" actually works without an error, you can turn on SSL support in Zen Cart using the following information:
    When I go to https://vault1.secured-url.com/Candl...re/securesite/ it isn't working correctly.
    There are no images (All held on the "standard website"), nothing is working correctly.
    Don't I need to sort this out first?

    Images are not showing because config files do not have correct urls
    inserted.
