There isn't anything built into Zen Cart at this time for downloads outside the checkout process ... but you could always write something for that.

Let's define "the same problem"

1 files are loaded into the /download directory

2 /pub is set to 777

3 if in windows Redirect is OFF

4 if in unix Redirect is ON

5 The Option Name for the download is set to Radio Button or Dropdown

6 When you add the download to the Attribute you see the green dot

7 The filename does not contain special characters or spaces and preferrably is a zip

8 you have the download in the /download direct and not in a subdirectory

What error are you receiving?

Can the attribute be added to the shopping cart?

Can you checkout?

Does it say the download is available or unavailable?

Do you have a link to start the download?

Here's one a little different from any others I've seen discussed in this topic:

I am working with a company that sells parts for trampolines. In order to get the proper measurements for replacement trampoline mats, they have the customer measure between the spring holes across the trampoline frame. The customer then enters the value in a cell. This is done four times. Then the total number of spring holes is entered in another cell. Finally, the length of the springs used on the trampoline is entered in another cell. They want these measurements (six cells total) to show up on the order form.

Is Atrributes the best way to accomplish this or is there a better way? I have attempted a few different things myself (in Attributes) but have thus far had no luck.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Currently, you could use the TEXT attributes for this, but there is no calculation or measurement to that feature for what you are trying to do.

This would just give you the values as entered by the customer, in a text format.

Is there any way to remove the extra Add button of showing on every single attribute

I want the user to select all attributes and then add to cart.

Also, is there any way no to show the + prefix (just the value?)

I am not sure what you moofed up on the code, but there should only be 1 add to cart button and you appear to have two.

To not see the + you would remove the attribute prefix, but since you are adding them together, you need to decide which should have the + prefix and which should not.

the add button code was on the attribute table and was getting copied by the new attrbt. prefix is gone too.

Does anybody knows if is possible to change the attibute text field to a text area (so the user can add multiple lines instead of having to create a new textfield) ?

And the attib file... what happens to the file? where does it get stored / sent? Is it possible to control the max size so people don't send me a 10 megapixel file?

Under Maximum Values are the filesize and file extentions that you accept.
