Avonlee Contempo Template Support Thread

Hi,

This may be a simple one, but having a few problems finding the solution. I have added a best sellers banner on my site http://www.thewelliestore.co.uk/ and adjusted the width of the sidebox and the column on the right to accomodate the size of the images and text. This looks fine on the homepage, yet at product level the sidebar reverts to original size.

Do you have any idea of how to fix this issue?

There is a tutorial in the FAQ's section with details on how to change the width of the right and left hand columns. Do this in admin--configuration--layout settings.

Just trying to "install" this template.

I have copy the the include folder into the root directory of my webshop (where the admin and include folder is etc.).

I have updated the database too...

But in the admin page under template selection. The newly copied template isn't available. it doesn't show up as one of the template I can choose between :/.

I have tried some of your other templates, but it is the same.

When I copy the files I have used Filezilla, but also copy it with the cp command in Linux.

What is wrong??

It sounds like you are uploading the files to the wrong place on your server. Check for includes/templates/avonlee_contempo/template_info.php file.

If you are not seeing the template in your admin--tools--template selection then the files are not uploaded to the correct place on your server.

I had the same issue when I originally installed the template and it was my fault. I thought I was copying it to the right place - but I wasn't.
Using Filezilla - in the the right hand window you should be able to see your cache, classes,docs,downloads .... includes directories.
- in the left hand column as long as you have set up the Avonlee-Contempo directory correctly on your PC - right clicking on the includes directory and selecting Upload should work for you.

This is not a problem with the template. Do a search for the FAQs section of this website for a tutorial about how to set the order of your previous/next products on the product info page.

I am using your great Avonlee-Contempo template. Q. How difficult is it to move the Slider to above and to the right of the Logo in the header space. I currently have the Language and Currency selections in that area but they could move to side boxes. I feel that the header space would be ideal and also free up space beneath the header area for featured products etc.

You can add the slide show code to the tpl_header.php file if you want it to show up in the header. You will need to also add an if statement if you want it to only show on the home page.
