Error Log issue

Hi All,

I am getting this error log message on my live site and I am thinking that I have done something wrong when I was trying to tidy up the test site. Anyway this is the message that I am receiving in the logs.

This is what is in the tpl index categories.php file on line 5 to 59

sigh, your line numbers are off, you have edited that file in the past and somehow ended up with it double spaced

learn how to read the log, you are being lazy...

Ok the file was empty for some reason and have uploaded the correct one (will wait to see if the error shows up again).

I have one question and that is do I only take notice of the PHP line as I am still trying to learn on how to deal with the logs. I looked at all the files prior to that line because no-one has advised me on how I should tackle the logs in the past.

It would be good to see a video on how to work out the process so that the average person can see what should be done on how to decipher the log.
