I just installed this and ... holy cow this is cool! I should have done this ages ago, but managing my store only in my spare time keeps me hoping (fortunately business is good).

Yes, I added the correct column name but found that the problem was actually caused by the missing code from the admin\includes\extra_configures\quick_updates.php file.

I added

  // added for QUICKUPDATES_MODIFY_PURCHASE_AND_MARGIN updates
  @define('QUICKUPDATES_MODIFY_PURCHASE_AND_MARGIN', 'true');

to the file and the fields became available for update.

Oh dear, a bit confused here! I went to download version 3 from the site but I get a message saying:

First version of quick updates advanced is almost ready. Final versions will probably not be publicly available or supported.

So, where have people been getting the beta from? Also, I have no idea which version I have installed. All I can find in the header is this:

Sorry for the confusion Kelvyn. I am even confused myself about this, and I am not sure if I ever will release a new version. I know I started talking about 3.x in this thread myself, but I think it's better to keep this thread focussed on 2.x versions.

The latest *stable* version is 2.03 and, if you have got it installed, the admin/quick_updates.php file should show the correct version number:

 * @license http://www.zen-cart.com/license/2_0.txt GNU Public License V2.0
 * @version quick_updates 2.03

There have been (buggy) 3.x beta versions available, but these do not fix fix anything compared to 2.03. Also I am quite sure quick updates does not do anything (positive or negative) related to Google Froogle. Quick updates 2.x only allows you to quickly update some of the exsiting products data, and it does not change any of this data unless you tell it to do so.

Hi Kelvyn,

probably better ask Andrew about this? He released a Google Froogle contribution some time ago. And of course it's not impossible that (an adapted version of) Quick Updates could help solving issues with Google Froogle.
