Got it. Thanks.
I think it would be a great idea to make a list of all the stylesheet sections. I'm slowly trying to make my own.
Thanks for the help.
Hi Jade,
I've had great fun playing with Apple Zen, the template's brilliant.. thanks for your hard work.
I've tried to add a new page to the website with EZPages. My new page does not appear in tpl_drop_menu.php when I create it. So I need to create a link there myself.
So I've gone to that file and i'm not sure what to write, particularly here: zen_href_link(FILENAME_xxx)
I tried another approach.. I used Page_3 which already exists. I can put up my content there and change the HEADER_TITLE_... to my new page's name, but I cannot change the header at the top of the page content from Page 3 to something else.
Any advice?
Ezpages automatically show up in the dropdown. From the readme.txt file:
** STEP 8. (optional) I've added the ability to have your ezpages automatically shown in the INFORMATION drop down menu. To get this to work, follow these steps:
--> go to your admin, and go to "Tools", "Layout Boxes controller". There should be a new sidebox (ezpages_drop_menu.php). You must turn the SINGLE COLUMN STATUS TO ON, leave the LEFT/RIGHT COLUMN STATUS off.
--> Under "Tools", "EZPages", make sure the ezpages are set to ON for the header. The sort orders also have to be greater than "0".
--> If you want to have the regular zen cart horizontal header bar off, go to "Configuration", "EZPages Settings", and turn the header bar display status to off (0).
Hi... I am loving this template! One problem I had earlier fixed itself (the dropdown bar not sizing to 100%), and I'm actually thinking the problem must have been in my browser or something.
Anyway, after trying everything out and going through an order process, I found one more thing that I really need to fix... the "edit shipping address" button does not show up when checking out (I logged in with a user account I had created before). And at the "Review" point, the button shows up to change the shipping address, but if you click it, it takes you back to the home page. (Billing address works correctly)
I have a pre-1.3.7 verision of Zen cart (I have so many add-ons that I'm afraid to upgrade, worried that the addons won't work). I did copy over the extra files for the pre 1.3.7 versions, but there is no file there for shipping, and I'm thinking maybe that's the problem?
I hope someone can help with this!
thanks very much,
Deanna
This works on my template site on Step 1 of 3, perhaps you don't have that image uploaded in the correct spot?
/includes/templates/apple_zen/buttons/english/button_change_address.gif
Also check includes/templates/apple_zen/templates/tpl_checkout_shipping_default.php to be sure it wasn't removed somehow.
You're a star, thank you. I've added my EZpage to the drop down now and it works fine. On my site map, it's not added. Is it possible to do that too?
Hi... yes, the button is there. I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade. I downloaded the new version, but it does not give me the option to upgrade or upgrade the data base. I went through it several times, but there were no options to do this, and it clearly stated that all existing info would be erased.
so I upgraded to version 1.3.7 through Fantastico. The good news is that the edit shipping address now works fine.
the bad news:
problem 1) now my database is version 1.3.5 and giving me the error that I need to patch/upgrade it to version 1.3.7. Can't figure out how to do this as most suggestions say to run the install and do it from there, but there are no options to do this when I run zc_install. I tried another suggestion I found to copy and paste the code from the upgrade file (which i found) in the sqlpatch area of admin, but when I tried that, it gave me an error saying the sqlpatch.php file wasn't there (but it is).
problem 2) my coupon admin is totally messed up, doesn't work at all, and i use it a lot
Well, I *think* I've fixed everything :) (keeping fingers crossed)
I had uploaded the entire zencart package with zc_install as a subfolder. I moved the zc_install folder up one level, and then it gave me the option to do the upgrade.
I did finally get the database upgraded to 1.3.7 (which is now my cart version... I think I will leave it that way for now, not mess with 1.3.8)
The database upgrade also fixed the coupon problem! So at the moment, it appears that everything works, but I will have to play around with the site more to make sure. I did just successfully complete an "order" and it went through to PayPal (IPN) and everything looked good. The coupon feature was working, as well as all address changes, etc.
Thanks again for this great-looking template! I *LOVE* the dropdown menu at the top! And love the colors, sage green is my favorite! The grey in the template was perfect for my existing banner, which is grey-scale except for a piece of jewelry that is in color.
Deanna
