Just another Cross-Sell mod (support thread)

Anyone else tried this new version? If you encounter any bug please report it here. I want to fix all reported bugs first before uploading the new version to download section.

Hello there,

I have tried revision 82: the file you in question. I still get the delete thing and the error comes up on some items. Maybe it is my setup, so if others could let us know how they are going with their site and the mod, that'd be great.

1. The previous code seems to mess up xsell on the catalog side somehow(at least on my site), fixed it
2. Edit products with only 1 cross-sell may cause an unexpected error. Fixed

Files affected:
/admin/includes/init_includes/init_yclass.php
/includes/modules/your_template/xsell_products.php

You only need to download those 2 files and reupload to your server.

Hi, I downloaded and installed Just Another Cross-Sell on the zencart download section. I couldn't get two cross sell items to display in a row. Instead there are two rows, one item on each. In my admin, I set to have 3 columns and 6 items. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Add this to your stylesheet:

.centerBoxContentsCrossSell{border:none;margin:0;padding:0}

I cant guarantee that the latest version is 100% free of bug (I have never seen any software that is free of bug), but it's quite stable as we have tested it for a while. Any reported bug is usually fixed within 24 hours.
Changes:

1. No longer loads and displays all current xsells by default (improve loading speed)
2. Includes the original Xsell package now.
3. Most core functions are moved out of the template file.
4. Use a different approach to input new xsells.
5. Added a switch in the admin panel that let you display xsell products randomly (in the store)
6. Many minor changes to code.

Simply overwrite everything to update to the latest version?

Yes, and you have to run the sql patches as well, but that's it.
The readme file should cover the instructions.

Hi,

The new version is looking real good. Nice work. I tried to upgrade my version on my live server, but got some errors on the sql update. I believe this is because I orginally installed the mod inside of a template I no longer use. Is the best course of action to do a fresh install using my current template folders?
