The problem is that the reward points are rewarded on the value of the product as stored in the products table (now adjusted by specials, discounts and attributes). If anything calculates it differently then the value will not be available to the reward points module- Therefore the points awarded can never be determined.
The only way around this as far as I see would be to add an extension that allows you to calculate the reward points globally when the total is calculated but then you will lose the capability of setting the global redeem on a group or product basis.

We have just installed the Rewards Module, however we don't seem to be able to get it working.
Just had a good go through. I’ve set the ratios fine. I only turned on one side box that shows the points only and does not show the cart contents repeated.
The errors / queries I have with this are:
My account points display. This currently shows as 0 even though I have some.
Digital products not accumulating points: I’ve set the points to earn 1 when £5 is spent. This is not working when adding digital products to the cart. I’ve not set any rules for specific catogeries – I’m using the global setting.
Admin Orders/customers / reward points: At present the search is only searching first name – can it search second name also?
The one main important issue is that as a customer, I can’t figure out how to redeem the points? Please explain this as I’ve had a good look and can’t seem to sort that one out!
Any clues?
Please ignore my post above, I have got things working to a point, however, for some reason I can not get the points to automatically move the 'Earned' when an order is completed. I have try using the 'Advanced' option to switch points to 'Earned' when order status is 'shipped' but the points still remain as pending. I can only get points to move to Earned by doing it manually.
Help! Do it manually is very time comsuming

I have now spent all evening tweaking around with the settings in admin and everything is working except for the automation of settings points to ‘Earned’ from ‘Pending’. Super Order is tracking the order status and I have set it so the the order status is set to ‘Shipped’ when the ‘completed’ button is pressed and have set the Reward Points to ‘Advanced’ and where it should be setting points to ‘Earned’ when order status is ‘shipped’ which it is not doing. Currently my client has to set the points from ‘pending’ to ‘earned’ manually which is very very time consuming.
Any clues?

I dont know what happen to my install, but seems that most peope got double the points they are suppose to have ?? .. is there a way to re-set it ?
I installed this fix and changed the Sunrise period to 1. It appears anyone that had pending points older than a day got their points added to earned. But it left those points in pending also. Thus if they had 44 point pending now they have 44 pending and 44 earned.
