SO doesn't have a proper order edit feature.

Zen Cart and it's community are the best!!

Yeah, I use both, I only use Edit Orders when I need to edit an order for some reason, it works well apart from the little bug that I just reported earlier to do with sales/specials prices and attributes. The SO edit order feature was never completed, the author intended to come back to it but hasn't. So if you want to have the ability to edit orders you will need EO.

Thanks. I'll put it back then. I'm still having the issue with not being able to take the amount from a Gift Certificate...do you or anyone else have a solution to this? Maybe I am not doing it right??

    Thanks!

perkiekat -- The edit orders mod does not support using a gift certificates to pay for an order, and for that matter, it doesn't support any payment methods. It is meant to change an order, not to effect the payment method. My advice would be to install the mod that allows you to edit gift certificate amounts. I can't remember what it is called, but you should be able to find it on Zen Cart's add-on section. I use it and it works well. Then, you can edit the order and change the customer's gift certificate amount accordingly.

lankeeyankee -- Thanks for the kind comment! I haven't heard of this bug before. I did test it with multiple attributes, and never had a problem, but maybe I forgot to test it with multiple attributes and specials/sales checked. Its possible I made a mistake there. I'll take a look when I get the chance, but I'm awfully busy now both with family and with work, so I probably won't have a fix out soon. I'll let you know as soon as I can check it out. In the meantime, just manually adjust the price after adding a product. Thanks for reporting the bug!

Thanks for the info. I'll check the addon you mentioned. I really appreciate you responding quickly.

i just now instaled this addon...it allows me to click the "e" to get the side window with the old edit button now renamed to detail and the edit button at the bottom that lets me go in and add a product.

My problem is the gc part but what I did was just edit that part to reflect the order total and that works but

when i veiw the cutomers order the download and the item do not appear in the customers "view" button

how will they be able to download the item?

With V2 this was fixed. You need to add the attribute that allows the product to be downloadable.

yes I posted to the other thread and forgot to come back here. Thank you so very much, did not have to add anything at all when I edit the order it does what it needs to do with the upgrade to your version 2.3

works like a charm....now if someone could make an addon to edit the customers pre-finalized sale that would be great. That way I could add the gift certificate amount directly to the account correct a price that got entered wrong to begin with...to be able to add a credit to the account for later use by the customer. hope that made sense...lol
