Different tax classes on FedEx Ground shipping

Hi Everyone

With the lovely tax changes that the Gov't of Canada has put on us, I now have to charge some provinces GST only on shipping and other provinces HST.

The FedEx Ground shipping module only allows for 1 tax class to be used. How do I go about making it so multiple tax classes can be used.

IE:

ON,BC,NF,NS,NB - HST charged on shipping

The rest of Canada - GST charged on shipping

According to the FedEx site I have to charge those taxes. http://www.fedex.com/ca_english/news/hst.html

Try This Below:

Click on "BACK" to go up one level.
Now create the Ontario HST Zone:
Click Insert

- Zone Name: Ontario HST Zone
- Description: HST (only when shipping to Ontario)

Now click on the newly created "Ontario HST Zone" row to drill down one level to "Sub Zones"
Click INSERT to create new sub-zone:

- Country: Canada
- Zone: Ontario

Now create the BC HST Zone:
Click Insert

- Zone Name: BC HST Zone
- Description: HST (only when shipping to BC)

Now click on the newly created "BC HST Zone" row to drill down one level to "Sub Zones"
Click INSERT to create new sub-zone:

- Country: Canada
- Zone: British Columbia

Thank you Royal. I printed off all that information from that thread last night & I am pretty sure that is what I have set up.

I will redo all my taxes again as instructed and hope that it works with FedEx. I am still not sure what tax class to click so that the different provinces would get the proper taxes added.
