I just did a fresh install of 1.3.9d, and I would like to use the Google Checkout 1.4.7 with it, is this going to work or should I put in ZC 1.3.8 instead?

I have another system that has been up for years using PayPal, however PayPal in their wisdom will not let me set up a new account for the new system, and there is no appeal.
I do a lot of other stuff with Google so Google checkout seemed to be a good alternative.
I am not sure who or what ceon is, I am open to using any payment house that is easy to work with, that will respond to situations with something other than THERE IS NO APPEAL, and is US based.
For a startup I am reluctant to go to a bank for a merchant account because of the high costs and all of the paperwork.
I did the step by step installation of the Checkout Module, and it seems to be ok from the admin side, however it will be a couple of days before I can test it from the Google site.

So my per-weight goes through ok, the only problem is I have free shipping set up on any order over $300. That seems to go through to google checkout no matter what the order total is. Is there any way to hide free shipping unless the google checkout total is over $300?
I cannot tell whether my site is installed on PHP CGI or not. My PHP mode is set as "PHP 5 Fast CGI". In the server infor under the admin, the server API is set as "CGI/FastCGI"
So, Is my site installed on PHP CGI or not? For the question ".htaccess Basic Authentication Mode", do I need to set "True" or "false"?

Hi I have Zencart 1.3.8a currently installed with Google Checkout Module 1.4.7.
Now the module works as it should and customers can checkout using this module, I recieve the notifications via email which is fine but I am just wondering what I have done wrong because the list of orders on the main admin page never shows that I have recieved a new order etc.
Can anyone explain why this maybe?

Is anyone experiencing an issue with sending out order status updates to customers when using this mod? I'm using 1.3.9d and notice that when I update order information in the edit order section of admin and have the "notify customer" box checked. It is merely appending the comments to the order but emails are not actually going out. I tested the function out with the original admin/orders.php file and it works fine. But once I manually update the file for GCO, it stops working.
Everything else with GCO seems to be functioning. "BlessIsaacola" are your notify customer emails functioning as they should? I've tried loading the orders.php file you uploaded, but no luck there either.
Has any one gotten a fix for google checkout not sending sales back to zen cart? I've gone through the forum and found some tips i have done them all.
But when i go to reponsehandler.php it asks me for a user/pass i post my gmail login/pass and it just prompts me for a user/pass again.
