I am doing an upgrade 'trial' from 1.5.1 to 1.5.5e and have a problem with copying old database into the new install - old database has a 'prefix' so tables with prefix are not loading into correct tables in new install.

During install the process didn't ask if DB should have prefix (as it does in 1.5.1 install for example) unless I missed that step - so I now have a database with duplicate entries, with and without prefix so I assume I need to either 'merge' tables in new db or using the copy of the old db delete the prefix then load that modified db into the new install.

Problem is if my assumptions are correct I have no idea how to merge tables if it can be done at all - or how to delete the prefix from the copy??
