@kobra8:

in each of the stores I manage the servers have a c-panel which then gives us access to MyPHPAdmin..which will let us get to the databases.

I tried many times to install it through the admin section of my stores but could not, this was the only way I could install it.

@cdnbride:
Okay hello I am new at this and installed my first mod yesterday with success and to my surprise so I too would love to get my 2nd mod installed without too much confusion.
I have two questions with respect to lightbox ... first, because I'm still learning I followed the install directions very literally which maybe I shouldn't have. Was I supposed to copy the "includes" folder the whole folder to my includes folder or was I supposed to open it and copy over each folder in their prospective folders in my store?? Either way I've done it both ways, I'm just curious as to which is the right way.
Second, I am not sure how to find out what the correct wording is in my database, the one that is being refered to in the last post in red. Is there some where specific that I can look at and know for sure what I should be putting in there? I've tried a few combinations but none have worked. My SQL database is named cdnbridal_zc1, would that be what I put in there?
I find that many mod creators do that mistake...they take it for granted that someone has done this type of installation before. so the answer is NO.

1. you open your zip up on your desktop then go to your server.
2. compare the folders in the zip to what is on the server
3. drag the files from your zip to the folder on your server, with the same name (includes items go into the includes folder of server)

any folder that says either "custom" or "Your_template_folder" must go into a fodler named same as your template (mostlygrey for instance)

Not everyone knows how to install things and I am totally grateful for the ones that do the actual coding and creating so I have something to customize my stores with (I help maintain or manage about 6 of them) and that is why I intrude in the forums with any help to other newbies that I can aide with...either by pm to go install it for them or assistance in here.

This store software is really pretty easy once you get the hang of it and the customer suppport here is tremendous, there is a certain gallery software that when you ask a question they tell you to go learn the software or hire someone to help you....that is not the way to handle things either in RL or the virtual world...lol My pet peeve, sorry.

As for the "wording in red" you need to actually look at your database to see what the prefix is...some that installed it gave it a prefix others have left it without one.
